Dr Lisa

Having been educated here on island, initially at St Ignatius School and later graduating from the University of Tampa in 2005 studying Biology and Chemistry, Dr Lisa is the first Caymanian to attend and subsequently graduate from Cayman Islands St Matthew’s University Veterinary School where she matriculated in 2009. As part of her final year studies Dr Lisa attended the Purdue Veterinary School in the more temperate climate of Indiana and here she developed a love for small animal practice.

Professionally Dr Lisa’s main interests are Ophthalmology, Cardiology and puppies! A proficient surgeon in more common soft tissue procedures, Dr Lisa also thoroughly enjoys assisting with the more complex surgeries performed here at the hospital.

When not playing a full and active role to her five nieces and nephews, Dr Lisa expresses her musical talent as a lyricist and backing singer and her work has been regularly featured on local and Jamaican radio. Alternatively her free time is spent watching super hero and animated movies, making dangerously yummie deserts or simply cuddling up with her cocker spaniel, Cookie, who completes her large family.
